Shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Night shift, block scheduling not guaranteed)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will provide care to adults with a range of post-surgical diagnoses, including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Floating between units may be required, and candidates should be comfortable utilizing specialty equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical surgical patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions, noting any changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in post-operative recovery and management of symptoms.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Travel experience is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Active RN License in New York and all active state licenses as per NURSYS report.
• Two recent references from MS Charge/Manager RNs.
• Skills checklist must match specialty.
• Driver's license with an address that matches demographics.
