Job Description

The Physical Therapist provides full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care for patients of all ages and diagnoses within the state’s scope of practice. The role involves incorporating evidence-based medicine into patient care plans while exemplifying professional conduct, ethics, and respect for cultural diversity.

Responsibilities

• Modify patient care plans appropriately, incorporating age-specific and patient-specific considerations.
• Support the mission statement of the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, peers, and administrative personnel.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic equipment and techniques in both hospital and village-based settings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• No minimum clinical experience required; hospital-based experience preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing as a Physical Therapist in Alaska, or completion of appropriate FSBPT paperwork for Post-graduation Student Physical Therapist role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
