ICU Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ICU Nurse to provide quality patient care in a Trauma Level 2 ICU. In this role, you will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver and manage nursing care for critically ill patients. You will also communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate and supervise care provided by nursing and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as with the healthcare team.
• Identify variances from patient goals and develop solutions to ensure compliance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA.
• Previous experience in a Trauma Level 2 ICU is required.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Schedule

This position requires weekend and holiday availability. The shift is scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
