Acute Rehabilitation Registered Nurse

This position is based in a facility located in Idaho.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires working the night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The acute rehabilitation RN assists individuals with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses to attain and maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation staff nurse supports clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle while providing a therapeutic environment that fosters both client and family development. The nurse designs and implements treatment strategies rooted in scientific nursing theory related to self-care, promoting physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. The rehabilitation nurse operates in various settings, ranging from acute to subacute rehabilitation facilities, including both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in their rehabilitation process and adjust to life changes due to disabilities or chronic illnesses.
• Deliver nursing care that promotes optimal functioning in a therapeutic environment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate comprehensive care for clients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an Idaho RN or multi-state compact license.
• Must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute rehabilitation experience in a hospital setting is required.
