Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality cardiopulmonary services in accordance with established protocols and department policies. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, assisting physicians in various procedures, and delivering critical therapeutic and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain patient airways and manage ventilators.
• Perform arterial line insertions and intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
• Manage and analyze blood gas results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Must hold a valid Ohio Respiratory Therapy license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required (must be through the American Heart Association).

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 19:00 to 07:00.
