Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Complex Care Unit, specializing in medicine and orthopedic overflow, as well as the management of complex long-term patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in charge nursing and be proficient in telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry on the unit and react to any dysrhythmias.
• Manage patient care with a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Provide care for tracheostomy and assist with feeding tube management.
• Perform wound care and utilize surgical drains as necessary.
• Respond to Rapid Response and Code situations effectively.
• Facilitate care for patients utilizing high-flow nasal cannulas and other oxygen therapy options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid NY nursing license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge responsibilities.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Strong skills in telemetry and complex care management are essential.
