Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist with expertise in blood banking. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of laboratory experience and be proficient in various lab procedures and equipment. This role requires independent work with blood bank experience, proficiency in quality assurance, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and processing.
• Conduct quality control measures and maintain laboratory standards.
• Utilize various laboratory equipment and technology effectively.
• Document and report test results accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.
• ASCP certification required, ASCP-MLS preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in blood bank procedures is a hard stop requirement.
• Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Cerner.
