Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a Step Down Intermediate Care Unit, primarily handling cases related to cardiac disease and stroke. Responsibilities include monitoring acute cardiac events, managing intravenous medication drips, and preparing patients pre and post electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and document care delivered using EPIC charting system.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed.
• Float to various medical-surgical floors as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility; awareness of COVID-19 care is necessary.
