Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic & Spine Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is within a fast-paced 36-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and traumas. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a Level 2 trauma center environment, utilizing advanced communication technologies for improved patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including wound care and dressing changes.
• Utilize mobile communication technology to enhance team coordination and patient monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapy, to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Kansas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Previous acute care hospital experience, preferably in medical/surgical or telemetry units.
• NIH certification is preferred but not mandatory.
