Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit handling patients with diverse needs including midwifery clients and adult recovery services. The RN will be responsible for providing care in a fast-paced, high acuity environment and is expected to function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-risk labor and delivery nursing care to patients.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care.
• Circulate during C-Sections and provide newborn assessments and care.
• Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork following AWHONN guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience in a high-risk, high-volume L&D environment.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate.
• Must have current supervisory references.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in required skills, including circulating and newborn care.
