Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a 36-bed Medical Surgical Unit. The unit supports a variety of patient care needs including wound care, tracheostomy management, ostomy care, and more. Patients may also require dialysis, PCA pumps, and care post-operative procedures such as amputations, drains, chest tubes, and wound vacs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care.
• Maintain patient monitoring equipment and documentation via Meditech.
• Participate in bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1-2 hours.
• Administer medications, ensuring the use of the Medication Scanning system.
• Follow established protocols for infection prevention and fall prevention.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with various patient care technologies including PD Cyclers, Hoyer Lifts, and Alaris IV Pumps.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
