Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

• Shift: 12-Hour Nights
• Availability: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Neuro unit, managing a variety of neurological conditions including strokes, seizures, and postoperative spinal patients. The position requires strong neuro experience and familiarity with G-tubes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and reactions to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document patient progress and care in the EPIC system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend to patients’ needs

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS must be in hand at time of submission)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Recent experience in a neuroscience or neurocritical care setting
• Proficiency in EPIC and overall strong neuro experience
