Job Description

Join a high-impact, fast-paced nursing unit specializing in trauma and general surgery. This unit offers a diverse range of patient conditions and care modalities, allowing nurses to practice at their highest scope of abilities. Experience the breadth and depth of patient care, from complex wound management to critical step-down situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for multi-trauma, TBI, and surgical patients, including complex wound care and ventilatory support.
• Collaborate with care management, surgical teams, rehabilitation services, and other medical professionals.
• Monitor and validate telemetry strips, ensuring timely interventions for patient safety.
• Manage and titrate drips as needed, including Heparin, PCA's, Insulin, and non-pressor medications.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, traumatic injuries, and respiratory support is essential.
• Ability to read telemetry strips and manage multiple patients effectively.
