PICU Registered Nurse - Night/Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are rotating, primarily nights (2 months Nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and 1 Month Days from 7 AM to 7:30 PM). Weekend requirements include up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule for nights and 4 for days. Holiday requirements may apply if the contract falls during that period.

Job Description

Join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse providing critical care to children aged 0-18. You will be involved in caring for patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions, ensuring their well-being through a mix of intensive and intermediate care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for pediatric patients in a mixed unit with ICU and Stepdown patients.
• Utilize advanced equipment for ECMO, CRRT, and other critical therapies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control measures, and best practices in providing care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists for comprehensive patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required.
• Licensure: Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS and PALS (must be from American Heart Association).
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT is preferred.
