Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts available are 8-hour or 10-hour days, 5 days a week with flexible weekend coverage 2-3 days per month. No self-scheduling is available. Holidays will be on a rotating basis.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care in an acute inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of case types including total joints, CVA, CHF, COPD, and sepsis. The role requires not only understanding of pathology and lab values but also effective interdisciplinary communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in an acute inpatient setting.
• Manage a caseload of 8-10 patients per day.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately in the EPIC system.
• Participate in patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active and in-hand AZ PT license.
• At least one year of physical therapy experience outside of clinicals.
• AHA BLS certification required.
