Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on the patient’s needs. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, determining priorities for care, developing and coordinating individualized care plans, and managing therapeutic nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments based on patient problems or needs and physician diagnoses.
• Implement and coordinate individualized plans of care through ongoing assessments.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, reflecting patient acuity and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (all must be AHA certified) required.
• Mother/Baby and/or Nursery experience preferred.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
