Job Description

Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic examinations as directed by the Interventional Cardiologist.
• Collect and record subjective data to assist in diagnosis.
• Provide accurate anatomical and physiological insights based on collected information.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or accredited Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
