Shift may vary but primary will be 6 AM - 6:30 PM, with every other weekend required and block scheduling options available.

Job Description

Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations based on requisitions.
• Prepare procedure rooms and replenish stock such as linen and related supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
• Manually control the equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures.
• Implement radiation protection principles to ensure patient safety.
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
• Complete all study indexing within the Radiology Information System.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and customer service standards.
• Document all necessary information within the medical and radiology information systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
• BLS certification is required.
