Schedule

Will work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. A minimum of 3-4 weekend shifts and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN will provide nursing care in various pediatric units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU, floating as needed to meet facility demands. The ideal candidate will have pediatric ICU experience, particularly with the following competencies: ECMO and CRRT.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
• Utilize advanced skills in areas such as chest tube maintenance, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator care.
• Manage and administer medications, including IV vasopressors and anti-seizure medications.
• Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret laboratory results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience required.
• Current South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only).
• Previous charge experience preferred.
