Schedule

Work schedule is from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, four days a week, with one variable weekday off. On-call requirements include four weeknight shifts and one weekend shift per month.

Job Description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technician II demonstrates a thorough understanding of cardiac physiology and pathology, assists with the orientation and training of Cath Lab staff, and is responsible for special projects. This role adheres to medical ethics principles and includes monitoring diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures, responding to lethal arrhythmias, and recognizing ECG changes during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing cardiac catheterizations and monitor patients during procedures.
• Recognize and interpret ECG waveform morphology and abnormal clinical laboratory values.
• Calculate basic hemodynamic parameters and document catheterization events accurately.
• Set up and manage necessary supplies for diagnostic procedures.
• Explain indications and potential complications of thrombolytic therapy.
• Identify the benefits of using advanced imaging technologies in angiography.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Cath/EP Lab.
• Must be able to scrub for all types of heart caths and procedures.
• RCIS or RCES preferred; ARRT acceptable with relevant experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
