Job Description

Join our dynamic team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions. As a PCU RN, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated group of healthcare professionals while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver care for patients post CABG, AVR/MVR, aortic root repairs, LVAD, and immediate post VATS.
• Provide pre/post care for vascular surgeries and cath lab procedures including pacemaker/AICD, heart caths, PCIs, TAVR.
• Conduct bedside procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertion.
• Maintain accountability for patient actions and communication with the interdisciplinary team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Knowledge of cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, and Cardizem.
• 6 months of experience in a PCU setting preferred.
