Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM.

Job Description

The Pain Management Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care within an Ambulatory/Outpatient setting, focusing on pain assessment and management. The role includes working in procedural areas and supporting patients in pre-operative and post-operative phases while utilizing various types of anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pain assessments and implement effective management strategies.
• Administer various types of anesthesia, including Conscious Sedation, General, Local, and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC).
• Provide post-anesthesia care and support to patients recovering from procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Manage medications, including narcotics and reversal agents, safely and effectively.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, utilizing the Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for those with previous charge nurse experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience in procedural settings (GI/OR/Moderate Sedation) and pain management preferred.
• Possession of valid PA nursing license or compact license.
