Schedule

12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM), with an expectation to fill holes in the schedule. Managers will accommodate block scheduling as allowed.

Job Description

The Hematology Oncology unit seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to provide patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to learn and administer chemotherapy with experienced guidance in a supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions, administering medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain documentation using EpicCharting system for accurate patient records.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Participate in unit safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for charge RN roles.
• Experience in hematology oncology, chemotherapy, or related fields preferred.
• Level 1 trauma experience, with comfort in handling high-acuity patients.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting is required.
