7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, with weekends and holidays required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services and other supervisory staff, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.

Responsibilities

• Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, focusing on the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
• Assisting with intubation and managing ventilator setup and operations.
• Gathering necessary information to evaluate patient needs, including disease education and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
• Building rapport and mutual respect with patients/caregivers and team members to support goal achievement.
• Educating patients/caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
• Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS - AHA certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
