Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide treatment to patients with physical dysfunctions, educating patients, families, and staff on the role of physical therapy. The therapist will communicate with physicians and ancillary staff regarding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatment tailored to patients with various physical dysfunctions.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy processes and goals.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide part-time supervision over a small group of employees while performing similar work duties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-3 years of physical therapy experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in a hospital or acute care environment is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for patient and staff interactions.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for 8-hour days.
