Job Description

The Neuro Med/Surg unit is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families. Nurses will engage in bedside shift reporting and are expected to form personal connections with patients while including them and their families in their care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit with a staffing ratio of 6:1.
• Utilize various medical equipment including IV Pumps, Telemetry, PCA, and EKG machines.
• Perform basic wound care and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Start IVs and monitor patients using Continuous Pulse Ox Machines and SCDs.
• Document patient care in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
