Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients on the 6th floor of the facility, which features a total of 33 beds. This unit provides a patient ratio of 6:1 during the day shift and 7:1 during the night shift. The nursing team is supported by three techs per shift and unit secretaries available during the day.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health status, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and progress using the Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and health management.
• Float to other appropriate areas when needed, in accordance with the unit’s floating policy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Advanced skills and certifications as required by the unit.
• Experience in a medical-surgical environment is preferred.
