Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, and is focused on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policies.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure patient care is delivered through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Maintain communication regarding patient status to support continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and unit efficiency.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Engage in professional growth through continuous education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule following a 3x12 format.
