Job Description

The Mammography Technologist performs medical mammograms to diagnose disease or trauma. This role is responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion. The technologist prepares, maintains, and operates mammography equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Additionally, the position involves performing and documenting all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA.

Candidates are required to work on a Mobile Mammography Van when needed, including some weekends. All responsibilities and requirements apply when assigned to the van.

Location

Mobile assignments may take place across various locations as part of the Mobile Mammography services.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, requiring an 8-hour AM shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program Required
• 2 years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required
• 1 year experience in Mammography Preferred
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire
• Licensure as a Registered Technologist (R) (M) Required
• Mammo Quality Standards Act Requirements Required
• Basic Life Support Certification Required
