Job Description

The Registered Mammographer will perform mammography procedures with a focus on 3D Tomosynthesis. The role requires attention to detail in documenting pertinent findings and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for educating patients on breast self-examinations and facilitating clear communication regarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mammography procedures, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality.
• Document patient history and findings in electronic records.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their physical safety and comfort.
• Utilize two patient identifiers to confirm patient identity.
• Perform quality control procedures on mammography equipment.
• Provide instruction on breast self-examination and the importance of clinical checks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Mammographer with experience in 3D Tomosynthesis.
• Preferred experience with Hologic Mammography equipment.
• ARRT Board registered in Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
• Strong skills in radioactive material safety.
