Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be ready to manage patient assignments with the support of an RN, providing essential care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Take on patient assignments and collaborate with nursing staff.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as directed.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report any changes to the RN.
• Perform IV therapy and other procedural responsibilities as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY State License as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• 2 years of hospital experience within the last 2 years.
• Previous charge experience is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is a must.
• Travel experience is required.
