This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, working three 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will operate under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy, providing essential respiratory care to patients from pediatric to geriatric populations. Responsibilities include setting up and operating respiratory care equipment, airway management, and performing pulmonary function tests. The role requires independent functioning in various patient care areas and a proactive approach to addressing respiratory care challenges.

Responsibilities

• Operate invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment.
• Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage airways, including intubation assistance.
• Set up and maintain respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Independently resolve problems within patient care areas.
• Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Active RRT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Vermont RRT license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Ability to work with various respiratory modalities and High-flow O2.
• Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
