Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with 10-hour shifts, including a 1-hour lunch, totaling 35 guaranteed hours per week.

Job Description

The role involves working in a Cardiology Unit, providing essential support in a fast-paced environment specializing in cardiac catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performing cardiac catheterization procedures and assisting with interventional radiology tasks.
• Maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Collaborating with medical staff to deliver efficient patient care.
• Participating in rotating on-call schedules as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State License as an X-ray Technologist.
• Certification to inject as per the requirements of section 89.40 of part 89.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or ARRT Certification.
• BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Tech or X-ray Technologist, with at least one year in an Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Suite.
