Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health & Addictions

Schedule

Full-time position with shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend work required every third weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in an acute inpatient behavioral health and addictions hospital, providing care to adults. Candidates will engage in crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, and empathetic communication with patients experiencing various psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with behavioral health and addiction issues.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and ensure thorough documentation.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Engage in therapeutic communication with patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid RN license.
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), and Health and Wellness Coaching (HWC).
• Preferably 2 years of experience in behavioral health or related fields.
• Experience with crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation.
