Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, primarily focused on patient critical care and emergency response. This role requires a collaborative approach to enhance patient outcomes and ensure excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, following established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as ordered.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on medical necessity.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.
• Document all patient interactions and assessments accurately in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
• Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
