Radiologic Technologist - Night Shift

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist prepares patients for examinations, explains procedures, and responds to patient questions. They perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians while ensuring a high standard of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and technical duties accurately and in a timely manner.
• Greet patients in a pleasant manner and review requests to evaluate orders for appropriate exams.
• Always verify patient identifiers: Name and Date of Birth.
• Explain procedures to patients in comprehensible terms.
• Prepare and position patients for examinations using proper techniques.
• Safely operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms and equipment.
• Transfer images to PACS and perform documentation accurately.
• Assist the Radiologist during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations.
• Utilize appropriate radiation safety practices and promote safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology.
• Meets American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year of experience performing radiological procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and radiologic equipment.

Schedule

This position follows a night shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, with no weekends required.
