Radiologic Technologist - Day Shift Weekdays with Every 3rd Weekend Evening Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures, and responding to patient inquiries. They will perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and technical duties promptly and accurately.
• Greet each patient in a friendly manner and explain procedures clearly.
• Review requests and evaluate orders for appropriate exams and diagnoses.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers: Name and Date of Birth.
• Prepare and position patients for examinations as per protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely.
• Assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices, applying ALARA standards.
• Document patient symptoms, history, and imaging limitations accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the ARRT.
• One year of experience in performing radiological procedures preferred.
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
• Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
