Surgical Technician

Schedule

On call varies, typically 16 hours, Monday through Friday, except holidays. Availability required for 24-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Description

The Surgical Technician will provide support in a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, neurology, spine, orthopedics, urology, eyes, and dental procedures. The successful candidate will work independently post-department orientation and be responsible for electronic documentation using Meditech, with on-site training provided for specific areas such as eyes and dental.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Perform electronic documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist in the management of surgical instruments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of ARN 101 training.
• Certified as a CAORN preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Reliable transportation is required.
