Registered Nurse - Birthplace

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. The nurse is expected to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, ensuring a safe environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients during antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Guide and direct patient/family teaching and other nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Engage in effective communication within the healthcare team and with family members.
• Utilize the chain of command as needed to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• COVID-19 Vaccine.
• MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella immunizations.
• TB Test and Fit Test required.
• Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam and Core Competencies Exam.
• Successful drug screening and criminal background check.
