Travel Medical Surgical LPN (Nights)

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN will demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment while anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform peripheral IV therapy.
• Assist with physical examination and data collection.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Facilitate discharge planning and implementation of physician’s orders.
• Complete appropriate documentation in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active LPN or LVN license.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• IV certification.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.
• Permanent address must be located 50+ miles from the facility.
