Registered Nurse - Adult Surgical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced registered nurses for our Adult Surgical Unit, which also accommodates some pediatric patients. The candidates must possess current NIHSS certification, a Wisconsin RN license, and CPR/BLS certification. Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Document care according to established standards and protocols.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a personalized patient plan of care as prescribed by a physician.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and may include shared governance initiatives.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to other units/departments as necessary.
• Employ critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns when appropriate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wisconsin RN License.
• NIHSS certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Education Verification required.
