Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift available in a 5x8-hour schedule from 08:00 to 17:00. Traveler's choice between 4x10 or 5x8 days. Some weekends required, approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month.

Job Description

The Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist will provide therapy services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing various therapeutic interventions tailored to the developmental needs of children. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and engagement with families regarding care plans are key components of this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and reassessments.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
• Utilize various treatment modalities and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
• Document treatment progress and modify plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience required.
• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Alaska or pending license accepted with required documentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
