Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Unit with Emphasis on Respiratory

3x12-Hour shifts, Day shift from 06:45 - 19:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a driven and experienced Registered Nurse to join our 24-bed Med/Surg unit with a special focus on respiratory care. This unit accepts a variety of patients with a strong emphasis on managing respiratory conditions, predominantly dealing with COPD, trach care, COVID-19, and tuberculosis patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting with a focus on respiratory needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and laboratory results.
• Utilize a charting system (Epic) for accurate patient record-keeping.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services, to provide comprehensive care.
• Carry out wound care and manage tracheostomy patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge experience preferred.
• Current RN license valid in OK or Compact state.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Proficiency in respiratory care and management protocols.
