Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Unit

This is a 13-week contract position with a Day schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical unit. The unit features 24 beds and operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6. As a first-time traveler, you will be supported by interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical-surgical diagnoses and be comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and participate in care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge experience preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC documentation system is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
