Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, floating and call required.

Job Description

The Travel Med/Surg RN will be responsible for providing general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care. The role includes caring for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor. Nurses will be put on call for census flex only if required prior to the start of the scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care in a general medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using MedHost EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico; fingerprinting is required for all NM travelers.
