Professional Staff Nurse - Day Shift

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and an integral member of the care delivery team. This role is responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of nursing care, managing patient care activities, and providing compassionate support to patients and their families. The Professional Staff Nurse applies independent judgment and collaborates with team members to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities

• Participate in department-specific quality improvement initiatives.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care.
• Formulate daily goals and holistic care plans in partnership with patients.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and comprehensive patient documentation.
• Provide detailed education to patients, families, and new staff.
• Foster positive working relationships and communicate safety hazards effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Schedule

This position will require either 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week, with on-call duties scheduled 2-3 days a week, including weekdays and weekends.
