Travel Med Surg/Tele RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the unit.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg/Tele RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves directing and coordinating nursing care based on established clinical practices and collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration using bedside scanning technology.
• Conduct assessments, create care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Float between Med Surg and Tele departments as needed.
• Work collaboratively with health care team members to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• 2+ years of nursing experience required.
• At least 2 completed travel assignments preferred.
• Experience with Cerner charting is a plus.
