Travel Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend and holidays required. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the unit.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical practices and will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Medication administration includes using scanning at the bedside.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients.
• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of recent experience in an acute care setting required.
• Certification in BLS required.
• Recent experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 completed travel assignments is required.
