Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, every other weekend, with required holiday shifts. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the unit.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Administer medications using bedside scanning methods.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
• Provide care for Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring.
• Support the PCT team in ensuring overall patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Recent experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required.
• Completion of 2 or more traveling assignments is required.
