Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Trauma

Schedule

3x12-Hour Shifts, Days (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM), Every Other Weekend. One holiday commitment required during the holiday period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedic and Trauma care will be responsible for pre-operative and post-operative patient care. This role requires experience in orthopedic trauma, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, as well as the management of elective and trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-op and post-op care for orthopedic patients.
• Utilize safe patient handling practices and orthopedic equipment.
• Participate in the Rapid Response Team as needed.
• Ensure effective communication with the healthcare team and patient families.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic trauma care is essential.
• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Charge experience is preferred.
